Removing vegetation without uprooting near buildings
A controlled approach to vegetation removal near structures, utilities and sensitive zones where uprooting would create additional risk.

Under suitable conditions, the aerial part is removed in manageable sections, and the stem is cut low, without rough pulling of the roots.
Real footage shows an excavator with specialized gripping and cutting equipment working in stages on a large tree. They do not in themselves prove confirmation that the required permits are in place, condition of underground networks, lack of damage, final removal of roots or lack of future growth.
Why wood is processed in sections
Free fall of an entire stem in a confined built-up area may not be acceptable. Reducing the crown and stem to parts limits the mass of the individual element and allows the work to follow a predetermined area.
- inspection and marking of the tree and protected objects;
- defining and isolating the work area;
- gradual reduction of accessible branches and stems;
- low cutting of the residue without tearing out the root bundle;
- collection and separation of wood from foreign materials;
- inspection of stump, pitch, surfaces and facilities;
- documented acceptance and decision on the next operation.
When limited ground intervention is important
The method can reduce trenching, but does not automatically prove that networks are established and secure. Available documentation, traceability, site control and specific owner or operator restrictions are required.
- to foundations, facades and retaining walls;
- around asphalt, pavement and concrete surfaces;
- for water supply, sewage, gas, electricity and communications;
- near fences and production facilities;
- with narrow access or sites that must remain in service.
The roots remain
"No uprooting" means that the stump and root system remain in the soil. Depending on the species and future function, monitoring for new growth, local milling at allowable depth, leaving it undisturbed or a separate removal project may follow.
No regrowth is promised. Milling is also not assumed to be safe until the networks and future function of the site have been verified.
What we check before starting
- documented authority to commission the work, trees involved and applicable permit regime;
- condition of stem, crown and base;
- overhead and underground communications;
- machine position, carrying capacity, reach and evacuation route;
- facades, windows, roofs, fences and flooring for protection;
- separation of wood from metal, tires, concrete and mixed waste;
- the exact result that should remain after the task.
Documentary process
Scope, permissions, communications, baseline and access plan are recorded prior to work. Sections, interruptions, detected discrepancies and material flows are documented during execution. Upon acceptance, the remaining stumps, the visible condition of the neighboring objects and the necessary next actions are described.
