Vegetation clearance along road corridors

A real working sequence for cutting, collecting and transporting vegetation along road and infrastructure corridors with controlled logistics.

Roadside vegetation can encroach on the clearance, restrict visibility and impede access to ditches, fences, signs and other facilities. The footage shows mechanized cutting of dense tree-shrub vegetation with a specialized Fliegl circular head mounted on a telescopic machine.

The visible brand is a fact, but the exact model, allowable diameter, operating reach and performance cannot be determined from the clip alone. Therefore, we do not use the unprovable claim "the best on the market", but describe the technology as a specialized high-performance circular-saw system for professional maintenance of linear infrastructure.

Cutting is only one operation of the task

The circular-saw system forms the vegetation along a set line and height. In its wake, cut branches and wood mass remain, which must be secured, collected and directed to shredding, permitted use or removal. The site is not complete if material remains in the lane, ditch, easement or in front of the facilities.

What we determine during the inspection

  • start, end, length and working sections of the route;
  • required width and height of the free gauge;
  • visibility to turns, intersections, signs and checkpoints;
  • road traffic, access, machine position and no-person zone;
  • aerial and underground networks, fences, ditches and facilities;
  • vegetation to remove and elements to preserve;
  • place and method of processing the residual material.

The complete technological process

Speed, daily performance, safe distance or confirmation that the required permits are in place are not automatically displayed. They are determined for the specific configuration, route and organization of work.

  1. Assignment and reconciliation. The right to operate, limits, applicable regimes and owner or operator requirements are confirmed.
  2. Traffic organization. Machine position, direction of operation, signaling and access control are defined.
  3. Staged circular cutting. The cutting attachment follows the agreed profile, without arbitrarily going outside the scope.
  4. Securing and collecting. The cut parts are removed and moved in a controlled manner outside the active corridor.
  5. Shredding or removal. The decision is made according to the type of material, terrain and applicable requirements.
  6. Verification and acceptance. The gauge, visibility, access, cleanliness of the area and remaining activities are compared.

Documented process for a verifiable result

Before starting, the boundaries, design gauge, restrictions, communications and initial control photographs are recorded. During the work, a report is kept on sections, technique, dates, obstacles and processed material. Upon acceptance, photographs are taken of the same control points and a protocol with completed, deviations and remaining operations.

How to prepare an inquiry

Send location, approximate length, photos of the densest spots, traffic data and desired clearance. Mark ditches, fences, signs, power lines and other facilities. See also how to prepare an inquiry, cleaning around roads and choosing between on-site treatment and removal.
